Walt's law practice focuses on estate planning, trust administration,
probate, conservatorships, guardianships, and related business
transactions. He is an experienced mediator for trust, probate
and business matters. He has been a member of the State Bar
of California since 1978, currently serves on the Board of
the South Bay Bar Association, and is a member of the Estate
and Trust Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Walt serves as a member of the Probate Volunteer Panel for
the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and is a pro bono volunteer
for the Guardianship Panels for the Torrance and Compton Courts.
He is also a Mediator on the Superior Court Probate and Trust
Panel, and the Party Pay section of the Superior Court Alternate
Dispute Resolution (ADR) Panel.
Prior to starting private practice, Walt worked for over
20 years in the aerospace/telecommunications industry where
he served as a corporate attorney, negotiated and managed
major contracts/subcontracts and held several senior management
positions. He has extensive hands-on experience in negotiating
complex commercial agreements and problem solving in the high-tech
industry. His management roles included serving as Vice President,
Operations for Hughes Global Services and President of the
Galaxy Institute for Education.
Walt received his JD degree from Loyola University Law School.
He also earned a BS degree in industrial engineering and an
MBA from the University of Southern California. He is a member
of Rotary International and resides in the South Bay area.
