Walt's legal work in trust, probate and business law, combined
with extensive hands-on experience in contract negotiations
and problem solving while serving in industry, make him an
ideal mediator or arbitrator for litigation involving trust
or probate matters, and for complex business disputes.
He offers a flexible style of mediation support depending
on the participants= needs. He is able to offer evaluative
feedback on factual and legal issues based on his in-depth
experience in trust, probate, business and contracts matters.
He has also honed his skills in facilitative settlement techniques
while mediating lawsuits and in management roles in industry.
Walt is a member of the Superior Court's Probate and Trust
Mediation Panel, and is also on the Party-Pay section of the
Court's Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Panel. He is a
member of the Southern California Mediation Association, and
serves as volunteer Probate Settlement Officer for the Central
District Court. He received formal training on mediation techniques
through the Pepperdine Law School and participates in on-going
training seminars.
Although Walt primarily serves as a mediator, he is also
available to serve as an arbitrator on matters where he has
related experience and expertise.
